Reporter Cells

Reporter cells are genetically engineered cells designed to produce a measurable reporter signal, such as fluorescence, luminescence, or colorimetric output, in response to specific cellular events or molecular pathways. They are widely used to monitor gene expression, promoter activity, signal transduction, and cellular responses in real time, using reporters such as GFP, luciferase, or β-galactosidase. Reporter cells are essential tools in cell biology, toxicology, and biotechnology research, enabling sensitive, quantitative, and high-throughput analysis of cellular mechanisms and regulatory networks.
